By accessing our website, submitting a quote request, or hiring us to perform services, you (“Client,” “Customer,” “you”) agree to these Terms of Service.These Terms govern all services provided under the 4 Local Homes brand across Canada and the United States.
Service Model
We deliver home improvement and renovation services through:
- Local employees and in-house crews, and
- Independent subcontractor teams approved, authorized, and managed under the 4 Local Homes operational standards.
All Service Providers operate under our brand guidelines, quality standards, and project management processes. Each local operation may maintain its own licensing, insurance, and compliance requirements based on provincial, territorial, or state regulations.
Estimates and Pricing
- All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
- Final pricing may vary after on-site assessment or scope adjustments.
- We reserve the right to modify scope, pricing, or timelines based on site conditions or material
- Written approval (email or signed agreement) is required to begin any project.
Payments and Billing
- Payments must be made as outlined in your quote or service agreement.
- Deposits may be required prior to material ordering or scheduling.
- Failure to pay on time may result in project delays, interest charges, or collections.
- Accepted payment methods vary by location.
Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide access to the property at scheduled times
- Ensure the space is safe and free of hazards
- Make decisions in a timely manner to avoid delays
- Verify that requested work is permitted under local codes and regulations
Subcontractor Partners
In certain locations, work may be performed by subcontractor teams operating under the 4 Local Homes brand. These subcontractor partners:
- Must maintain required licensing and insurance
- Must follow our quality standards and project guidelines
- Are coordinated and overseen by 4 Local Homes project managementYou authorize 4 Local Homes to assign some or all work to subcontractor partners when required to complete your project efficiently.
Warranty
Warranty terms vary by service category and may differ between in-house teams and subcontractor Service Providers.General warranty guidelines:
- Workmanship warranty: typically 1 year
- Material warranty: per manufacturer
- Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, external factors, improper maintenance, or third-party interferenceDetailed warranty terms will be outlined in your project agreement.
Limitations of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for delays caused by weather, supply issues, permitting, or events outside our control.
- We are not liable for pre-existing structural issues discovered during work.
- Total liability under any circumstance shall not exceed the total amount paid for the service in dispute.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made after materials have been ordered may result in restocking or custom-order charges.
- Rescheduling is subject to crew availability.
- Emergency cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
Disputes
Any dispute will first be addressed through internal resolution. If unresolved, disputes will follow applicable provincial, territorial, or state laws and jurisdiction based on the project location.
Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of updated terms.
